Hill of Shouts Viewpoint got its name from a time when families separated by the Syrian-Israeli border communicated by shouting across the valley before modern communication methods were available.

The location became known as the “Hill of Shouts” because voices could sometimes be heard from one side to the other during emotional family gatherings and special occasions.

Today, the site is known both for its historical meaning and its panoramic mountain views overlooking the northern Golan region.
